Somewhere Over The Rainbow ( Iz ) – Ukulele Playalong With Muted Strumming ( From 0:43 Min )

Due to some requests I posted this video on Youtube, where the strumming is muted when the singing begins. Create your own strumming pattern. Or you might play it like Iz. Remember that he used his thumb and chunked the strings.  Click here for the full tutorial with original video, chordsheet with lyrics etc.   FriendlyFred

I downloaded the app on android ( Kyocera Event). Can’t wait till you get the bugs worked out. i can see this helping a lot. Will there be a tempo button? How long do you think it will take to get this fixed? Thanks the app is awesome.

I love this tutorial. Would it be possible to get the cords so I could pic the melody (words) if my friend plays the harmony?

Hi Fred, In the 60s I played bass in a various groups but family and career stopped all that and I haven’t touched a fretboard since. My wife recently passed away and both daughters are married but you have inspired me to buy a uke and you have already taught me a number of songs – and I can’t put it down! I’ll be 70 in July and I have much to thank you for. My 6-year old granddaughter wants her own uke now and I’ll take her out to buy her a soprano next weekend – so you will have yet another student!
Thanks VERY Much – you are Great!

      Hi Tom,
thank you so much for your kind words.
Great to hear that you’re now into the uke and show it to your loved ones.

There are a lot of ukulele folks who played bass in the past. Well four strings again.

And as you see, age doesn’t matter at all.

      Happy strumming Tom.

      Best wishes
      FriendlyFred.
