Cielito Lindo – Baritone Ukulele Instrumental

This Mariachi classic was written by Quirino Mendoza y Cortés in 1882. The Ranchera song is also known by words from the refrain, "Canta y no llores" ( " sing and don't cry " ). The tune was covered as an instrumental and  in different languages by Pedro Infante, The Mills Brothers, Nana Mouskouri, Deanna Durbin, Luciano Pavarotti, Andre Rieu and many others. I play it on my Ortega RUE 14 FMH baritone ukulele. The ukulele is tuned in open G ( D G B D' ). For the accompaniment I used garageband on my ipad. The drums are taken from the Drum Loops HD App. Then  I played a bass line. The ukulele was recorded with an AKG C 1000 S microphone. I mixed the tracks with my Mackie 1202-VLZ Pro mixer. I wear an original Lucha Libre mask as they use in Mexican wrestling.
